Music in Literature

Laurie GilbertLaurie Gilbert. Septuagenarian. Rock Star. Writer.

Laurie played bass guitar, married a bass guitarist and ran the Gold Coast Musicians’ Club until epilepsy forced her to give it up. It overtook her life for around thirty years, but she has been seizure free for twenty.

Laurie has also written short stories for as long as she can remember, as well as seven novels on varying themes, including a thriller, a period romance and a novel for young adults. This session is themed around one of them, Savage Blues, which is based on the emerging blues music scene in Australia. It comes with Laurie, music, and blues. Don’t miss this!
