LUME with Danielle Wood and Kate Gordon

Over 2021 the Maritime Museum of Tasmania has been hosting Tasmanian writers, Kate Gordon and Danielle Wood as part of the LUME writers in residence program. Kate and Danielle have been researching the collection and producing new work including a young adult fiction novel based on Hobart’s whaling history and a suite of prose poems responding to objects related to the River Derwent.

Kate and Danielle will be sharing some of their work and talking about the research they have undertaken while at the Museum. Come along and sit amongst the collection to hear about the inspiring stories, characters and objects that have spurred their writing.

DON’T MISS: Kate, Danielle and Maritime Museum Curator, Annalise Rees, will also be discussing writing residencies in another session – read about it here.

This event is hosted by and will be held at the Maritime Museum of Tasmania, on Argyle Street, between Davey and Macquarie Streets.
